DC reviews progress of works under annual plan

JAMMU, Aug 1: Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa today reviewed the progress proposed under District Capex Budget 2022-23 including DDC, BDC, PRI components. The concerned officials informed the chair that against total 4055 works, 1720 have been tendered, 268 allotted/under progress and 53 have been completed in the first quarter of the financial year.
It was further informed that out of 4055 approved works, 207 works are under UT component, 274 under BDC, 309 under DDC and 3265 are under PRI component. It was further apprised that under UT component, out of 207 works, 192 are tendered, 134 are allotted, 24 stand completed in all respects. The Deputy Commissioner was further informed that out of 3265 works under PRI component, tenders of 1299 works have been floated and tendering is under process in other works. Similarly, under the DDC component out of 309 works, 127 have been tendered and 22 are under execution.
Under the BDC component, out of 274 works, 102 have been tendered.
After taking the review, the DC asked the officers to prepare the estimates of all the works within 10 days and float the tenders of the same within 15 days.
She stressed that the process regarding estimates, administrative approvals and tendering should be completed in all respects within two weeks.
The DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of various ongoing works on different projects for their time-bound completion.
Among others, CPO Yoginder Katoch and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
