Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 4: Scores of Youth from different areas of Jammu under the leadership of senior AAP leader Sandeep Singh Chib and in the presence of founder member AAP Deep Singh, AAP observer Jammu West constituency Kuldeep Kmar Rao, General Secretary Jammu West Gurpreet Singh and Jaswinder Singh. Prominent among those who joined AAP along with their supporters include Suraj Kant, Karan Sharma,Amit Sharma,Tushar Sharma,Raghav Sharma,Roshan Sharma,Manik Rajput, Sorav Sharma. Chib welcomed and urged them to strengthen the Party further in their respective areas, besides reaching out to people for redressal of their grievances. He urged the new entrants to remain present among the common people in the areas of their influence 24X7 and address their pressing issues. He also asked them to gear up their activities in view of coming elections.
Speaking on the occasion, Chib welcoming the new entrants into the party fold hoped that the joining will help strengthen the party at gross root level with a strategy to strengthen the idea of pluralistic progressive, democratic and united Jammu and Kashmir.
He exhorted the workers to work unitedly and defeat the communal forces saying AAP is committed to foster brotherhood and foiling the divisive forces. He said that BJP had always lied to the country, especially the youth and now youth was aware of their “hoax promises".
Chib said that it was not about the fight for power but a fight for freedom from the “anti-people policies” of the government. He said that it is all because of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal that the youth from J&K is joining hands, as that they see better future in him. “The local leadership has failed totally as they couldn’t deliver what they promised, unemployment is at peak inflation has almost touched the sky and the common people are feeling disappointed with the ruling government,” Chib said.
Chib observed that Govt lacks collective approach about the overall development of entire J&K besides ensuring that people don’t suffer on any count. He said the Govt’s trust is waning in the face of its failure to fulfill promises. It brought mining and liquor mafias here and closed thousands of schools.
Chib sought early regularization of the daily rated workers and other categories of casual workers besides other employees working on contractual or adhoc basis in various departments across Jammu and Kashmir. He regretted over delay, saying this has jeopardized career of thousands of youth. “This will bring respite to thousands of families and those engaged, whose careers have been at stake for long,” he said adding that some of these are waiting for justice for over a decade.
