Yashu Vardhan condemns lathi-charge on daily wagers
8/4/2022 11:54:47 PM
Early Times Report

KALAKOTE, Aug 4: J&K National Conference strongly condemned the brutal lathi-charge on the peaceful rally taken out by daily workers of Jal Shakti Department in Jammu.
In a statement issued here today, Th Yashu Vardhan Singh, Additional Spokesperson National Conference Jammu and Incharge Kalakote and Sunderbani Constituency, said this kind of action of government is highly objectionable, as the workers were protesting for their genuine demands, as the BJP had promised them regularization before Assembly elections in 2014 but has betrayed them all. He said that holding peaceful protest demonstrations is the right of every citizen of the country but the J&K Government is crushing voice of these hapless daily wagers who is the victim of official apathy. The NC leader also demanded early release of pending monthly remuneration of the daily wagers claiming that it is a criminal act not to release perks of employees in time because the inflation is sky-rocketing and sustaining life under such conditions is next to impossible. He asked LG Sinha to intervene in the matter and ensure that monthly remuneration of the daily wagers is released on time as running the affairs of family without the salary is not possible these days. He demanded that the government should regularize all the daily wagers working in PHE and other departments without any further delay.
The NC’s Additional Spokesperson said that people in Jammu and Kashmir are fed with the hollow policies of BJP leadership and bogus promises ruling the region in the past. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah as only NC can fulfill the aspirations of people of all sections of the society.
