| DR&IL organises fire safety session for security personnel | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 9: Damodar Ropeway & Infra Limited organised a fire safety session for the security personnel posted at Mata Vaishno Devi Ropeway to equip themselves to deal with any unwanted fire situations. The session saw participation from all the security personnel members working on Mata Vaishno Devi Ropeway, who practised dousing the fire.
They were taught how essential mutual communication and prompt action are to control any unforeseen fire accident. The mock drill took place in a phased manner, and equipment and communication setup was practised under the inspection of the local fire team. The objective of this mock drill was to protect the pilgrims coming from fire accidents and to provide adequate security to them.
At the fire safety session, S K Agrawal, Executive Director, DRIL, said, "The safety of our passengers is our first priority, and we keep all measures in place to ensure that. We conducted the fire safety session to ensure that the devotees of Vaishno Devi can be protected against any untoward fire incidents and that their journeys are fruitful. I would like to thank the security personnel for their active participation, and their tireless efforts to keep us safe are commendable." |
