JAMMU, Aug 9: All India SC & ST Railway Employees Association, Jammu celebrated Tribals Day in their office at Railway Colony, Jammu. While addressing, State President, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations J&K, R K Kalsotra greeted them all on the Tribals Day and recalled all those including Birsa Munda , Veer Narayan Singh, Alluri Seetha Ram Raju, Rani Gaidinliu, Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu who had struggled for the rights of Tribals and later on by Baba Sahib Bhart Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar Kalsotra apprised them that after big struggle by J&K Tribals leader Gujjar Bakarwal like Babu Faiz Ahmad, Ch Ghulam Hussain Lasanvi, Sarvari kasana, Ch Samuda Ghila, Haji Israil Khatana, Ch Murad Bakash Dhakar, Haji Buland khan and Gaddi leaders like Devi Ram, Bhawani Singh, Kirpa Ram Bhim Sain and due to many others, J&K tribals got ST Status in 1991 and Political reservation is assured to implement in coming election. He said 22 times Confederation gherao the J&K Assembly and also Parliament for tribals rights to implement Forest Act, Political Reservation here in J&K . Kalsotra appealed on Tribals day to be united and save Constitution and rights enshrined in it as the Govt is finishing reservation on the name of privatisation. He informed that on 16th Oct 3rd National Convention for save constitution and save rights will be held at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust Jammu and advised them to participate in it and support it |
