Dogra Degree College organizes workshop

JAMMU, Aug 9: Dogra Degree College organized a workshop on " Interpersonal Skills, Soft Skills And Skillsets For Placement". The objective of the workshop was to bring out the best in the students and to upgrade their communication skills and personality. The workshop was inaugurated by formal welcome address presented by Aditi Khajuria , Lecturer in English.
Rohit Bains, a Life Coach having expertise in area of Corporate communication, Leadership communication, Interpersonal communication and Conflict management was the keynote speaker of the workshop. The speaker emphasized on the need for students to maintain positivity at all times in life and said that communication skills aid in all aspects of life and help people to excel in their personal and professional life. He stressed on the need of creating awareness among students about importance of communication skills and dynamic personality and provides guidance and motivation through various activities for their improvement. He further stressed on the role of communication and interpersonal skills in the development of personality as well as the help these skills can have in professional growth.
More than 60 students from various departments of the College participated in the event organised in the college conference hall. During the session, students were trained in the ways in which learning could be an even more delightful experience. Important themes that were covered during the workshop included were communication to lead and exel, effectice presentation skills, interpersonal communication and conflict management. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College appreciated the initiative taken by Aditi Khajuria and Priyanka Sharma in collaboration with Arun from IBS Group for coordinating the smooth conduct of the workshop. The workshop was also attended by the faculty of the college who got a chance to get useful tips to improve their communication and interpersonal skills. The program winded up with a vote of thanks by Aditi Khajuria , Lecturer in English, Dogra Degree College.
