JAMMU, Aug 9: Wrestling Association of J&K welcomed the son of Soil Sahil Sharma who is the Coach of Indian Women Wrestling Team of Commonwealth Games-2022 Birmingham.
Sahil Sharma was welcomed from Airport and culminated at Bajrangi Akhara Jammu where large number of Prominent Wrestlers, Members of Different Sports Associations, upcoming Wrestlers, and other members from Shalamar Associations were present on the occasion. Sh. Pardeep Sharma father of Sahil Sharma (Son of Soil) got emotional after receiving sahil from Airport Speaking on the occasion Sh. Dushyant Sharma Former International Wrestling- India and First Gold Medal Winner of National Games for J&K in Puna, that Sahil Sharma is the alumni of Bajrangi Akhara and maximum Wrestlers of J&K is from Bajrangi Akhara as this akhara is one of the oldest akhara in the city.
Large number of Wrestlers are doing practice there in daily basis and bringing laurels for J&K. Sh. Dushyant Sharma gave their best wishes to Mr. Sahil Sharma Coach of Indian Women Wrestling Team who is from J&K UT for their upcoming assignments. Former MLC and Sr. BJP Leader Sh. Ashok Khajuria and Dy. Mayor Smt Purnima Sharma were also present on the occasion and gave their best wishes to Sahil Sharma for his achievements in Birmingham.
It is pertinent to mention here that 06 Women Wrestlers of India taking part in the Commonwealth Games and all the Women Wrestlers won Medals in Birmingham including Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat Gold Medal.
It’s a Proud moment for J&K that one of the Wrestling Coach of J&K Mr. Sahil Sharma representing India in Commonwealth Games-2022 at Birmingham as Coach of Indian Women Wrestling Team. Prominent others present on the occasions are:- Sh. Raju Sharma, Vice-President Wrestling Association of J&K, Sh. Jai Bharat General Secretary Wrestling Association of J&K, Sh. Om Parkash Treasurer Wrestling Association of J&K and others were present on the occasion.
