Two notorious absconders arrested by Gandhi Nagar Police

Jammu, Aug 9: After receiving information, out of locally cultivated intelligence at PS Gandhinagar regarding two absconders evading their arrests in Case FIR No. 106/2019 u/s 302, 34 IPC 4/25 Arms act of PS Gandhi Nagar, special police teams of PS GandhiNagar under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma were constituted. The teams led by SHO PS Gandhinagar Inspr Pankaj Sharma assisted by I/C PP warehouse SI Rohit Gandhi, I/C PP Digiana SI Tarsem Raj, PSI Sayaf, PSI Sonu Choudhary, PSI Majid and PSI Basharat did strenuous efforts and raided suspected locations and finally arrested both the absconders namely Malkeet Singh S/O Harbinder Singh R/O H.No 523 Sector-2 Nanak Nagar Jammu and Gaganpreet Singh S/0 Amrik Singh R/0 Nanak Nagar Jammu from house of Malkeet at Nanak Nagar Jammu.
During personal search one Pistol, magzine and 4 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Gaganpreet Singh and one khokhri was recovered from the possession of Gaganpreet Singh.
In this regard case FIR No. 193/2022 U/S 3/4 Arms Act stands registered at PS Gandhinagar Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention that out of the two absconders, accused namely Malkeet Singh S/0 Harvinder Singh
R/o Nanak Nagar Jammu was out on parole for few days but he didn’t reported back. Reportedly, he had absconded to Nepal. Also, the another absconder namely Gaganpreet Singh S/o Amrik Singh R/0 Nanak Nagar Jammu was evading his arrest since the lodge of FIR.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
