Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 12: BJP Mahila Morcha J&K Spokesperson Ritika Trehan along with Gasu Gandotra,Muskan Trehan,Mehak Trehan, Deepali Handa, Saima Chauhan, Gurpreet Kour besides others celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with BSF Jawans at BSF Headquarter Paloura, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritika said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive independent India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. People from all around the world converged to India to gain from its priceless wisdom. Illuminaries like Charak, Patanjali, Bhaskaracharya, Chanakya, Sushrutha, Kanad, and Aryabhatta have left indelible imprints in various domains of human knowledge for the entire world. India has all the potential to become Vishva Guru once again because of its value system, culture and inherent belief in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Ritika further said that through Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government aims to commemorate every citizen’s belief in India as the ‘best-in-class’ in social, political and economic terms. Such programmes will not only help in nation building but also aid citizens in overcoming challenges in their daily lives. These initiatives will further strengthen the country’s performance at large and give rise to new dreams and opportunities. Principle of ‘Unity in Diversity’ lies in the deep roots of India. People from different ethnicities coexist peacefully, speak different languages, eat different foods, and follow distinct customs. India has developed numerous kinds of art, architecture, painting, music, dance, festivals, and rituals over the years, and this diversity has resulted in an unparalleled culture that the rest of the world admires, added Trehan.
Ritika observed that this Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey and they also have the power and potential to activate India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and economic identity. One of the primary focus of the celebration is to document our unsung heroes, lesser known personalities and places that have made invaluable contributions in the freedom struggle of India, added Trehan.
