Vishwa Bharati organises event on Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 13: Vishwa Bharati Senior Secondary School, Akalpur Jammu organised a collaborative event on Janamashtmi and 75th Independence Day in solemn and dignified demeanour as a part of ongoing celebration of " Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" on 12/08/2022 in the school premises. The event was organised in two phases wherein the management committee members, J.L. Koul, president Vishwa Bharati Women's Welfare Committee, Dr. S.K. Koul, Secretary Vishwa Bharati J&K Units, Yoginder Koul, IGP (Retd.) and Prof. A.N. Sadhu, Chairman academic committee, guest of honour Prof Vikas Abrol, Secretary Yognanda Satsang Dhyana Kendra and Usha Bhat, Management member, Yogananda Satsang Dhyana Kendra, Udheywala graced the occasion.
The first phase of the event was conducted in the assembly ground by the "Sundaram House" students and teachers. As a part of independence day theme - " Nation first , Always First " , students of pre-primary classes took part in the Fancy dress and with their innocence enthralled the audience. Yoga asanas were conducted by yoga instructor - Veerta . Students participated in the event enthusiastically. The event was followed by unfurling of national flag by the guests and mass dill conducted by Sundaram house. The whole school was decorated with flags and tricolours by the senior students of the school.
The second phase of the event was organised in the school auditorium. This entailed a grand post - pandemic celebration including various patriotic songs and dance by students of class 9th and 5th. J.L. Koul, President Vishwa bharati Women's Welfare committee gave an enchanting speech to the students and the staff members. Guest of honour Prof.VikasAbrol educated the students on the essence of yoga and its importance in real life. Ushabhat, undertook a five minutes meditation for the audience. Yognanda Satsang Dhyana Kendra also donated two important books - "Spiritual diary" and " ParamhansaYognanda magazine " for the school library.
On this auspicious occasion the Management members also felicitated students of class 10th and 12th who had scored excellent marks in CBSE Examinations 2022. School also bought laurels in science olympaids and 12th Rope skipping completion where school got 10 gold , 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. CISF Personels of 176 company also distributed Indian Flags to all the teachers and management members. The event was culiminated with vote of thanks by madam Principal Annapurna Koul and National Anthem.
