Independence day celebrated at Stephens International Public School

JAMMU, Aug 13: A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.
Stephens International Public School celebrated 76th Independence Day cum Investiture Ceremony with great fervour and dignity in the school premises. The day witnessed the Investiture Ceremony to mark the formation of Students' Cabinet for the academic session 2022-23. The event was presided over as a Chief Guest by the Chairman of the school, Dr Kamal Saini IGP (Retd), the Vice Chairman Amarjit Singh, Director of the school Satvinder Saini and Trustee Kunal Saini were the guests of honour. Also present on the occasion were Principal Rama Jamwal, Vice Principal Dr Kaajal Bhasin and Head Mistress Shweta Bakshi.
A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the grand ceremony commenced with the hoisting of Tiranga followed by Saraswati Vandana rendered by the school dance group. The Principal Rama Jamwal extended Welcome address to the dignitaries. She exorted on safeguarding the nation's freedom and feeling of unity and patriotism in her speech. This was further followed by melodious songs and dance performances by the students.
The investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
The Chairman accorded and conferred the badges and sashes to the students' council enabling the young shoulders to wield responsibility. The magnificent spectacle of the praiseworthy young leaders on the stage, with their sashes and badges, taking the oath of responsibility was truly graceful and enthralling.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman, Dr Kamal Saini congratulated the team and advised all the teachers to help the students while encouraging them to work harder. He encouraged the students to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values while inspiring them to hone their leadership skills to scale new heights in school life and afterwards.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks and the choral singing of the National Anthem.
