JAMMU, Aug 13: In order to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Secretary BJP J&K Rekha Mahajan led Tiranga yatra organised by JIGER ,Jammu Institute of General Education and Rehabilitation' at Gangyal Jammu
Programme was held under leadership of Miss Sandhya Dhar "Nari Shakti Puraskar "Awardee and founder of JIGER.Pertinent to mention here that Sandhya Dhar founded 'Jammu Institute of General Education and Rehabilitation' in 2015 that conducts classes for Divyangjan and underprivileged children.
Rekha Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion.Summi sahi Seth ,Vice Principal Bed College &Vastu Consultant ,Rajni Jain from Mahavir International were the guest of Honour in the Programme.
Rekha Mahajan said that Celebration of 75th year of independence as Azadi Ka Amritmahotsav is something which will go a long way in bringing people close to each other and sprout nationalism among one and all .It is a moment of honour for every citizen to hoist the national flag during this Mahotsav .Hoisting the national flag is a way to pay tributes to all the heroes of the country who sacrificed their lives .
She added that Hon'ble Prime Minister himself gave the term 'Divyangjan' to the Persons with Disabilities and launched the Accessible India Campaign on World Disability Day on 3rd December 2015. With the motto of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas', the Government resolved to provide universal accessibility. Inclusive Society creates Sashakt Bharat "Accessible India" .Government is working hard to ensure that every individual in the country should empowered. Special attention is being given to Divyangjan so that everybody progresses together .The Government has been working to take forward the vision of the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyaan in order to ensure fully accessible public infrastructure, including airports, railways stations and public transport systems.
She also congratulated Sandhya Dhar for her contribution and dedication towards divyangjan rights and towards society as a whole by organising such programmes. She also lauded the fervour and enthusiasm among the children of the school.
Later Poster Making competition was also organised along with cultural programmes. Certificates were distributed among winners.
