| SKUAST-Jammu conducts clinical camp on LSD | | |

Jammu, Aug 17: Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu Prof. J. P. Sharma, a team led by Dr. S.R. Upadhyaya, Associate Professor, Division of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-Jammu along with PG scholars and Interns conducted a clinical camp at Sai Kalan village of R.S.Pura for examination of animals suffering from lumpy skin disease. This camp was organized in collaboration with KVK Jammu. Team examined animals from different household for lumpy skin disease. Affected animals had signs of fever, lameness, weakness, decreased milk yield and eruption of round raised nodules of various diameters on the skin all over the body. Team briefed the farmers about lumpy skin disease and prescribed treatment for the affected animals and advised preventive measures to control the spread of said disease to other animals. |
