Babu Rampaul bats for financial incentives to Artists, felicitates Darmesh Nagotra

Jammu, Aug 17: Acknowledging the tremendous contribution made by Darmesh Nagotra in the field of music, JK Saryara Sadar Sahba felicitated him in a simple but impressive function today at Rehari Jammu.
On this occasion, Babu Rampaul, former Minister and Zonal President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) was Chief Guest whereas Dr. Vikas Sharma Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC, Adv Rajinder Chanyal, S Nirmal Singh, BD Dalhotra, Ashok Tyagi was the Guest of Honour.
While presenting Shaal to honour Darmesh Nagotra, Babu Rampal said such people deserve to be honoured for their immense contribution in the society and his dedication and work to promote and develop music cannot go unacknowledged. As Darmesh has, indeed, brought laurels for him and for his own community.
Asserting that artists are the backbone of the society instrumental to bring the people together at one plateform hailing from different communities, Babu Rampaul urged the LG Administration to put in place a mechanism for giving the time bound incentive and extending financial help/assistance to the Artists belonging to rural/urban and far flung areas.
Former Minister said that in the days to come, more people having attained excellence in different field including art, culture and literature, shall be honoured.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, while congratulating Nagotra lauded him for achieving excellence in music and singing and he can be a source of inspiration for the young generation, who wish to follow the field of music.
Baldev Raj was delivered the welcome address; Satpaul Shabotra was delivering the vote of thanks.
