Udhampur First District in JKUT to organize 75 Krishi Bal Sabhas in 75 Panchayats in same day

Udhampur, Aug 17: Udhampur District is the only District in JKUT to organize this maiden programme with the sole motive to make India “Atamnirbhar”. District Udhampur launched a mega initiative by organizing “75 Krishi Bal Sabhas in 75 Panchayats” in connection with “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahautsav”- 75th year of Indian Independence.
The major objective of this initiative is to sensitize and involve the children- Who are the true and energetic “Ambassadors of change” to revolutionize the system promoting “Prampragat Krishi”, Natural farming, Organic Farming, Formation of Self Help Groups-(SHGs) Mechanized Farming Practices, Improving the “Cost Benefit Ratio” Rain water harvesting under catch the rain concept “Where it falls and When it falls”, Protective cultivation, Curbing excessive use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, weedicides endangering the life on this planet by polluting the soil, water and air.
This initiative of “75 Krishi Bal Sabhas in 75 Panchayats” is Ist in J&K UT and might be first in India where the Agriculture Extenstion Field Experts interacted with the children on specific agenda to make India “Atamnirbhar” as today these children are part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahautsav” When India is @ 75 Yrs and same children of today Krishi Bal Sabhas will feel proud when our India will be @ 100 years being prominent citizens at that age bringing laurels to the great nation defeating internal and external challanges i.e food security, water crisis, Soil erosion, Health Hazards, Ecological Imbalances.
This initiative is launched by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare- District Udhampur from Panchayat Neeli Nallah zone Jib Program inaugurated by Chariman Distrcit Development Council Mr. Lal Chand and presided over by Dr. Sanjay Anand Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur. All felt pride being a part of such a mega initiative deciding the future of society with the involvement of young energy. During the interaction in “Krishi Bal Sabha” PRI members and prominent farmers also participated.
All the dignitaries and participants appreciated Dr. Ashwani Kumar Jojra Area Development Officer Udhampur who conceived this idea and this initiative is his brain child.
In his address DDC Chairman congratulated the Agriculture Deptt. for tireless efforts reaching and delivering technology at the threshold of farmers Dr. Sanjay Anand also explained all the Farmer’s welfare schemes of UT and Govt. of India.
In the last, oath of commitment towards the objective also administered by Dr. Ashwani Jojra to achieve the desired results by involving children, relatives, Public Gatherings, neighbors, farming community and friends.
