Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 19: In an emergency meeting of Various Sikh Organizations J&K all members with one voice under the Chairmanship of S. Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex-member DGPC Jammu. expressed resentment over the resent order as expressed by Chief Electoral officer JKUT Hirdesh Kumar Singh in a press conference in which he expressed that the Government is providing right to vote to those who are residing temporarily in J&KUT in coming assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir UT.
Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Organization strongly reject it and said that delimitation done in Jammu and Kashmir is unconstitutional and not acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Now giving opportunity to outsiders living ordinarily and have no domicile certificate to enlist them in voter list is a major conspiracy to disempowerment of people of J&K and weaken our claim of restoration of J&K statehood, permanent residence certificate and special status of article 370.
The Jammu Kashmir Sikh Organizations also showed resentment that the refugees of POK of 1947 are demanding for last 75 years for reservation in Government jobs for their young ones and other rights over agriculture lands but nothing has been done in this regard. Instead of giving rights, status of statehood is snatched from us.
The J&K Sikh Organization appealed to honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Chief Election Commission of India to intervene personally to review the proceedings of Election Commission.
