Grand religious procession taken out on eve of Janmashtami

AKHNOOR, Aug 19: Like every year, on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival, a huge procession was organized from the historic Radha Krishna temple of Akhnoor Sub Division under the chairmanship of Brij Mehta President Ram Leela Club Akhnoor. The whole city gathered on its roofs and streets to see the procession. On this occasion, the procession was warmly welcomed by distributing prasad at all the various places of the city. Hundreds of devotees participated in the huge procession on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
People participated in the Shobha Yatra with singing and dancing. During this, SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat, DSP KD Bhagat, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Chief Secretary Ram Leela Club, Vinay Sapolia, Councilor Surinder Sharma, Councilor Khema Devi, Councilor Shilpa Mahajan, Youth Leader Atul Sudan are prominently present in the Shobha Yatra. During this, the whole city resonated with the slogans of Radhe-Krishna. During the procession, a large number of devotees were praising the glory of Shri Krishna ji behind the beautiful palanquin. Tight security arrangements were made by the Sub Division Akhnoor administration regarding the procession organized on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Police personnel remained deputed on the procession route. SHO Akhnoor Hilal Azhar himself took the lead of security arrangements.
The children dressed in the dress of Shri Krishna was the center of attraction for everyone in the procession. At the same time, a beautiful tableau was also taken out by Brahma Kumari Ashram.
Hundreds of devotees including Bansi Lal Gupta, Pandit Pawan Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Ashu Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Raju Gupta, Suresh Gupta were present in the Shobha Yatra on this occasion.
