Shiv Sena to take out 'Charri Yatra' in Jammu on Sept 25

JAMMU, Aug 27: As per the past practice of more than three decade, the Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit has decided to take out 40th Charri Yatra which will depart from Jammu on 25th September, on the first day of auspicious Navratra, and will perform the Charri Poojan in the Holy Cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on September 26. Along with this, the holy Charri Yatra will proceed after performing the first Darshan of Mata Kaul Kandoli with an aim to revive the mythological nature of the Yatra.
Addressing media persons at Part's Central Office in Jammu, Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena J&K unit said that on September 25, a grand programme will be organized at Maharaja Hari Singh Park where after the Darshan and worshipping of Akhand Jyoti and Holy Charri, a grand Bhandara will be organized. Following which in the form of a grand procession, the Chhari Yatra along with Akhand Jyoti will for Holy town Katra after passing through Raghunath Bazaar, Purani Mandi and Kaul Kandoli temple in Nagrota. The first Shardiya Navratri will be worshiped on 26 September 2022 in the holy cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi with full rituals.
Sahni said that in this Charri Yatra many senior leaders from the Party High Command and devotees from Punjab, Maharashtra, Himachal, Haryana, UP and Gujarat will participate. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to be a part of this Yatra with great enthusiasm and seek the blessings of Maa Vaishno Devi.
