Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 9: The temper runs high within the Hindu community after the political posters with Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ex MLA Inderwal Pictures were placed over the hoardings carrying posters of Machail Mata installed by the administration to welcome the 40 day long Machail Matta Yatra that concludes on 5-9-2022.
As per the details available with Early Times, Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar, VishwaHindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Bajrang Dal along with other Hindu organisations held a strong protest against the Ex MLA Indarwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and Ghulam Nabi Azad late Thursday evening whose supporters are blamed by the protesting organisations for pasting their banners covering the hoardings of Machail Mata that was already installed by District Administration near Dak Banglow Kishtwar. The angry protesters demanded registration of an FIR against those who have done this mischievous act to hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.
The angry protesters block the road outside Dak Banglow Kishtwar and the protesters lift the road blockade only after SHO Police Station Kishtwar rushes to the spot and pacified the angry protesters after giving them assurance that the action will be initiated against the guilty persons.
Senior Police officials told Early Times, that after registration of an FIR, one person was arrested who happened to be the son of plastic banner maker, a native of village Poochal in Kishtwar District.
Earlier President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Surinder Kumar Send told Early Times that their priority is to maintain peace and harmony added that it is condemnable to cover the hoardings of Machail Mata with that of a political poster.
“We will not tolerate these types of things wherein the political posters will be placed over the hoardings carrying the pictures of Machail Mata- We have been assured by the police and administration that action will be taken against the guilty persons- if no action will be taken against guilty persons; we will hold a strong protest and will hit the roads against this mischievous act by scrupulous elements” said Mr. Sen.
President Bajrang Dal Hans Raj Bhutyal said that this is not the first time that these tactics were played by these political parties added that earlier poster of Saroori and Azad were also painted on the entrance gate on the road leading to Sarthal Devi temple.
“Both Azad and Saroori’s paintings were removed from the gate after they strongly held protest against such act” said Hans Raj Bhutyal.
Mr. Bhutyal warn administration and police against any in action against the guilty persons involved in hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community.
“We will not allow anything that can hurt our sentiments. Let administration and police arrest the culprits” said Anju Singh, President Gavrashak Dal.
President Municipal Community Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Najjar while condemning the mischievous act said that these political posters has been installed without any permission from the office of the Municipal committee Kishtwar.
“We must respect the religious sentiments of the Hindu community- What happened today is condemnable and the guilty should be dealt in accordance to the law” said Sajjad Ahmed Najjar.
Najjar said that they are removing all the illegally installed political or any other posters that has been installed without seeking any permission from Municipality and urged upon the people and political parties to not install and hoardings or posters without prior permission from Kishtwar Municipality.
It is pertinent to mention that after divorcing the Congress party, Azad on September 4 held first Public rally at Jammu and announced launching of new political party with sole agenda to fight for restoration of statehood, land security and job security for the domicile of the Jammu and Kashmir.
Azad is presently on 3 days tour of Chenab valley to garner public support for his unnamed political party, his once strong bastion before losing parliament election to Union Minister Dr. Jatindera Singh in 2014.
Speaking to Early Times, Azad’s close confidant inform that no such instruction was given to install any poster or banner on the hoarding with Machail Matta banner.
“We have asked them to replace already existing hoarding with Eid greeting poster of G M Saroori outside Dak Banglow and other one to be installed outside the Kishtwar residence of Saroori- The advertisement hoarding maker who also belongs to the same faith had installed the banner covering Machail Matta hoarding on its own” said close confidant of Saroori who said that they respect the sentiments of every faith and urged the people to maintain peace & communal harmony.
