JKCCA dedicates Art Exhibition to Late Gobind Kour

Jammu, Sept 11:The 13th International Art Exhibition (Online) organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) was inaugurated today by Rukshana Jabeen, Poetess & Former Director of All India Radio, Srinagar. Prabhinder Lall, a senior artist & organizer of art events, from Chandigarh was the guest of honour whereas Smt. Raj Bharti, President Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu was special guest of the event. The exhibition is dedicated to Late (Smt.) Gobind Kour, 1st Contemporary Woman Sculptor of Jammu (J&K). The senior as well as young artists of India and abroad have been displayed in this Exhibition. The exhibition is curated by Sh. O P Sharma, Founder Director of JKCCA. The NGO has been organizing different art, literary and cultural activities at various levels since the inception of JKCCA during 1999, and providing platforms to the artists in all fields. He informed that Smt. Gobind Kour had been a student of renowned sculptor of the state, Late (Sh.) V R Khajuria, and an alumnus of Institute of Music & Fine Arts, University of Jammu where she has worked. She had been able to show her talent in the field of Stone Carving, Drawing, Print- making and Painting. The prominent artists participating in the show include veteran artist V S Rahi, senior artists Dr. Rita Kashyap and Dr. A K Dixit, New Delhi; Siresha Srinivas, Deepa Soni, Archana Choudhary.
Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, O P Sharma, Santosh Tiku and Kamalnain Bhan, Jammu; Ganesh Sharma, Hira Nagar; Fareha Zeba, Dhaka (Bangladesh); Mamta Patel, USA; Dr. Alka Chaddha, Bengaluru; Prof. Sunil Sexena and Pratima Singh, Lucknow; Prof. Saroj Rani, Varanasi; Pinal Panchal, Vadodara; Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Srinagar; Dr. Mamta Verma, Prayagraj; Dr. Rekha Rani Sharma, Gorkhpur; K S Gill and Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar; Meena Singh, Pune; Virender Kumar and Gaytri, Hoshiarpur and others.
The Exhibition will be visited on TouTube/JKCCAJammu till 30th September, 2022.
