Jobs no longer on sale
9/15/2022 12:14:14 AM
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified the hunt for the main kingpin of the infamous J&K Police sub inspector recruitment scam.
The selection list of the sub inspectors was cancelled by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha after the panel that was formed to look into the allegations about the selection being unfair submitted that the recruitment process was not carried out in a transparent manner.
Besides canceling the list the government also ordered a CBI probe and since then there has been no looking back. The premiere investigating agency of the country has been carrying out the investigations meticulously and has tightened the noose around the people who were involved in this scam.
After the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, the process of recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir has become very transparent. The government has ensured that the selections are based on merit and no one gets an opportunity to sneak in through the backdoor. The discrepancies in the selection of sub inspectors were viewed seriously by LG Sinha led dispensation. The people involved in fiddling with the selection list are all set to face the music as the CBI is after them.
LG Sinha while addressing a gathering in Poonch made it clear that the government led by him is working on the principle of “Governance For All” and not for a select few. He reiterated that no more sale of jobs will be allowed in J&K. “All the culprits in the alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations of Sub-Inspector, Financial Account Assistant and Junior Engineers will be punished severely,” he said.
After the J&K’s transition into a Union Territory the government has ensured that everything is put in public domain. The irregularities in the selection process of the sub inspectors have been taken a serious note of and whosoever is found involved will have to face the law of the land.
LG Sinha has made the intentions of his government very clear i.e. no corruption will be tolerated and the ones who are found involved in the corrupt practices will have to face the axe. It’s not only the SI recruitment scam, the probe has also been ordered in the recruitment process of Financial Accounts Assistants and Junior Engineers. The message is clear that “government jobs in J&K are no longer on sale.”
