Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrates investiture ceremony

JAMMU, Sept 20: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua today celebrated the Investiture Ceremony with glory and grace. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome of the honourable Chief Guest Ramesh Chandra Kotwal (JKPS), Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua along with Guest of Honour Mr P.L Thappa (Chief Education Officer Kathua) by Mili R Sumbria (Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua) along with Govind Ram Sharma (Administrator), Satish Kumar (Senior Co-ordinator), Aarti (Co-ordinator, Middle Wing), Smriti Sharma (Primary Co-ordinator), Radha Rani (Coordinator Primary Wing) Monika Sharma (Pre-primary Co-ordinator) and members of the student council. They also extended a warm welcome to our esteemed parents of the newly elected council.
The event began with the lighting of lamp by all the venerated dignitaries followed by the School Song by the school choir group. Followed by a welcome address by Mili R Sumbria (Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua) to the honourable dignitaries. She first thanked the honourable dignitaries whose presence was a great source of motivation to the newly elected prefectorial council of the school. She also congratulated our torch-bearers of tomorrow who were elected after a week-long procedure which started with their manifesto declaration, followed by election campaigning amongst fellow students to finally casting of votes.
The newly appointed members of the student council of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua were decorated with Sashes and Badges by the hon'ble Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. It was a day invested with a sense of pride, humility and accomplishment. This was followed by the swearing-in ceremony lead by Principal Ma'am and oath taken by the newly elected members of the student council. The students took an oath to deliver their duties with utmost sincerity and zealously serve the institution and nation with dignity, devotion and determination.
The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, both congratulated the worthy office bearers and appreciated the hardcore efforts of the teaching fraternity in nurturing the leaders in building to face all the challenges with wisdom and strength. They also gave prominence to, the student council who are going to be the torch-bearers, they should focus on their responsibilities rather than on power that they have been bestowed with.
Chief Guest on the occasion enlightened the students with his worthy thoughts that it is extremely important to understand and relate to your history, heritage and values. He also directed students to become good readers and recommended a few books to read such as "The Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, 'Ka" by Roberto Calasso etc that will help students to develop an ethical perspective to life and situations. .
The Hon'ble Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour were felicitated with a token of gratitude by Mili R Sumbria (Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua), Govind Ram Sharma (Administrator, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua) Satish Kumar (Co-ordinator Senior Wing) and Arti (Co-ordinator Middle Wing).
The culmination of the event was with the Vote Of Thanks delivered by Anmol Preet Kour, Head Girl of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua.
