Court awards life-impriosnment to six in murder case

JAMMU, Sept 20: Principal Sessions Judge Poonch Ashok Kumar Shavan has awarded life imprisonment and fine to the tune of rupees 25000/- for commission of offences punishable U/S 302/307/323/325/147/148/RPC to Six accused persons namely Lal Hussain Nek Mohd Ss/0 Chandi Mohd Munshi Mohd Latief Ss/O Jamal Din Altaf Ahmed S/O Lal Hussain and Mst. Razia Bi W/O Lal Hussain all residents of village khaitan Draba Tehsil Surankote in case FIR No 14/2011 of P/S Surankote. As per prosecution story supra mentioned FIR was registerd on 13-03-2011 on the written complaint of one Mohd Rafiq S/O Noor Hussain R/O Khaitan Draba Wherein he alleged that on 13-03-2011 at about 06: PM accused persons in furtherance of common intention equipped with Axe, Rambi and Sticks, inflicted multiple injuries on vital part of Javed Iqbal S/O Noor Hussain. Noor Hussain also received grievous injuries as his one leg was fractured and other family members also received injuries during brutal attack of the accused persons. Charge sheet subsequently filed against 09 accused persons whereas 05 accused persons faced the trial from the inception, one accused lady lateron surrendered before the Court and 03 accused persons are still absconding in the instant Case FIR. Today Hon'ble Court held all the the accused persons guilty and post the matter for arguments on quantum of sentence afternoon. Afternoon, Court has heard the arguments on quantum of sentence and thereafter awarded life imprisonment and Fine to the tune of Rs 250000/each for offences U/S 302/RPC apart from punishment U/S 307/325/323/147/148/RPC. Prosecution conducted through Maqbool Hussain Public Prosecutor for U.T and Ld. Advocate Maroof Ahmed Khan, Anuj Kapoor and Dheeraj Kour appeared on behalf of accused persons.
