9/26/2022 11:07:19 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Rajni Patil AICC Incharge for Jammu & Kashmir said that Congress party will sweep the upcoming Assembly polls in J&K as people are fed-up of series of lies and false promises made by the BJP leadership in the Union Territory. She was speaking during a joining programme at Katra wherein scores of political worker embraced Congress party. The main face, who joined Congress today and would help in giving a strong contest to other political parties in the constituency was of renowned social activist Bhupinder Singh, who along with scores of people came into Congress party fold with a mission to make it a force to reckon with. Besides Rajni Patil, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Raman Bhalla, Uday Bhanu Chib, President J&K PYC, Mula Ram senior Congress leader and former minister also spoke on the occasion.Prominent among those present on the occasion include Shahnawaz Choudhary, Vijay Sharma Babbi, Rajesh Sadotra, Krishan Lal Bhagat, Pranav Shagotra, Rakesh Wazir, Jahanzaib Sirwal, Bilal Rashid, Pawan Raina, Charanjeet Bhagat, Shakeel Shah, Latish Sharma besides others
Welcoming Bhupinder Singh into party fold, she said that the responsibility on his shoulders is big as he has to fight with the bogus promises made by BJP and other parties' leadership and educate the electorate about sincerity and dedication of Congress Party, which has long and vibrant track record. Rajni condemned the undemocratic attitude of the UT administration for being biased and creating bottlenecks in making this programme by Congress party successful in Reasi District's Katra town. She said, it is matter of time because soon after the elections the scenario will change as the Congress will emerge as the sole party with majority, playing the significant role in the government formation.
Addressing meeting, she said that since BJP took over in 2014, the miseries of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifolds. She said that all the promises made to the people prior to the Assembly elections of 2014 remained unfulfilled. More than eight years have passed but they have failed to fulfill any of the promises, be it the problems faced by youth, be it the problems faced by the farmers, be it the problems of Refugees and Kashmiri Pandits, this government has done nothing to address those problems," she said. While attacking the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre, she said that since the change of guard happened in New Delhi, the prices of essential commodities have increased manifold. She claimed that after mirror shown to BJP in DDC elections where it could win only 75 out of 280 seats, it is day dreaming and befooling people and BJP can never come to power in J&K again.
She asked the party cadre to be united and disseminate information among the masses with regard to directionless policies of the BJP government. She further said that unlike BJP Governemnt, the Congress has a checkered history of bringing in colossal development without demeaning the constitutional institutions, which is the norm today. She asked the cadre to convince the people that it is only the Congress party which can tackle unemployment, poverty and lies of BJP leadership on ground because the BJP government has been exposed badly on all issues and problems, as it has only one expertise and that is of being rhetoric.
