KVIC hosts essay writing competition on PM's vision on Khadi

JAMMU, Oct 1: Celebrating Sewa Pakhwada, Khadi & Village Industries Commission State Office J&K on Saturday organized Essay Writing competition on topic "Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion and Khadi for Transformation" here at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, = & Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Jammu Cantt.
Evincing immense enthusiasm, 27 students participated in the competition from K.V no. 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu & 31 students from K.V no. 2 Jammu Cantt.
From KV no. 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Kishaan Baliya of class 10th A secured 1st position, while the 2nd position was secured by Enakshi Rana of class 10th A and 3rd position by Tejasbi of class 10th D.
Similarly, from KV no. 2 Aditi Goswami of 10th D secured 1st position, while the 2nd position was secured by Dristi Das of class 10th D and 3rd position by Chaitanya Kumar Gupta of 9th B.
State Director KVIC SP Khandelwal congratulated the students who participated in this essay writing competition and praised their creativity & intellect. He also shared that Khadi is our Nation's fabric and it holds a special importance for all of us since it was also a part of our freedom struggle. We should take pride in wearing and promoting Khadi because it will help our Nation's artisans and their families and ultimately for the overall holistic growth of our nation.
