Investigating agencies to interrogate 3 terrorists arrested in June

Jammu, Oct 1: As the role of a Pakistan-based terror handler is emerging in the sensational twin blasts in Udhampur town, the investigating agencies are likely to interrogate three terrorists arrested in the earlier blast.
On June 4, Police had worked out the dreaded blast case of Udhampur town in which one person was killed and several others injured.
Three terrorists, who had planned the evil design to plant a sticky bomb in ever-busy Slathia Chowk were arrested by the police.
On March 9 this year, terrorists triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Slathia Chowk in the heart of Udhampur town.
One person namely Chager Kumar alias Jugal son of Kikru Ram of Dhandal Ramnagar was killed and 16 others including a child were injured. The blast occurred at 12.15 afternoon when Slathia Chowk was abuzz with visitors.
In this regard case FIR no. 97/2022 U/S 16/18/20 Un-lawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, 3/4 Explosive Substances Act, 7/27 Arms Act 1959, 307/302/121/122 IPC was registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation of the Case was entrusted to DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Sahil Mahajan.
Agencies engaged in the investigation of this sensational case pointed finger of suspicion towards Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) handler Mohammad Amin alias “Khubaib”.
A native of Doda district, Mohammad Amin alias “Khubaib” is monitoring terror activities in Udhampur, Doda, Reasi, Kishtwar and Ramban districts of Jammu province from Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
His name was also figured in the blast outside the court on March 9 at Salathia Chowk in Udhampur. One civilian was killed and 16 were injured in the sticky bomb attack.
Khubaib was involved in a blast that rocked Udhampur town on March 9 this year. Three terrorists, who had planned the evil design to plant a sticky bomb in ever-busy Slathia Chowk on March 9, was arrested by police on June 4.
The terrorists arrested in this case confessed that they had placed a sticky bomb IED in Slathia Chowk Udhampur on 09.03.2022 under the direction of his Pakistani handler Mohammad Amin alias Khubaib of Kathawa Thathri, Doda, presently living in PoJK.
The arrested terrorists were in contact with Khubaib through social media. He was instructed to fix the sticky bomb IED at Slathia Chowk.
