LG’s administration playing in hands of BJP leadership: Rattan Lal Gupta
10/1/2022 10:47:26 PM
Early Times Report

Ramgarh (Samba), Oct 1: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration is playing in the hands of BJP leadership in J&K by first subjugating the people by creating problems and then asking them to contact BJP leaders for redressal.
This was stated by Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President National Conference after inaugurating Party Office here at Ramgarh (Samba) a very impressive function organized by Ashok Kuma Attri Rtd DIG and Vice President Central Zone. The senior NC functionary was accompanied by Ajay Sadhotra former minister and Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary JKNC.
Castigating the government for not doing enough for the people, Rattan Lal Gupta said that LG’s administration has proven to be complete failure as can be well gauged by the reports of Chief Secretary snubbing the concerned quarters over callous approach towards development projects kept at disposal of HoDs for administrative approval. He said that the state of affairs in Jammu and Kashmir are in complete mess with people sitting at helm having no idea of ground situation and showing indifference to the hilt.
The Provincial President said that the LG administration under the orders of central dispensation and in connivance with BJP leadership has created a peculiar situation in J&K whereby segments of people having grievances were asked to first approach BJP leaders and in turn these leaders reach out to government showing that they are the only Messiah’s who can resolve issues of people like the case of apple orchardists, people seeking holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday and several others.
Rattan Lal said that the LG’s administration has turned out to be a dummy government in the Union Territory with no powers of its own as the instructions are being broadcasted from New Delhi. He said that the current scenario in the State is abysmal as democracy is being killed at every stage by the majority party leadership, which is dictating terms to the LG’s administration as only those issues of the people are being sorted out for which the centre provides a nod.
Ajay Sadhotra, senior NC leader and former minister highlighted the issues of border dwellers claiming that BJP government has not fulfilled even a single promise made with these hapless people as they are still longing for plots assured by the BJP Government and the situation with regard to water, power and other civic infra is also hanging in balance with no signs of things taking a good turn.
Addressing the gathering Babu Ram Paul Central Zone President said that it is the time when every NC worker should work hard to strengthen the bond of secularism and brotherhood among the communities.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary JKNC, said that only National Conference can address issues of the people of J&K as all other political outfits have failed to address the aspirations of common people. He particularly pin pointed BJP claiming that the saffron party is good at lip service but when it comes to resolving the people’s issues it preferred to remain subtle and avoid contact with the masses citing excuses.
Among others who were present include: Vijay Lochan P.P SC Cell, Abdul Gani Teli P.P OBC Cell, Raghvir Singh Manhas District President Jammu Rural A, Naresh Bittu District President Jammu Rural B, Ajay Sharma, Rajni Devi BDC Chairman, Chander Udhay Singh, Ch. Aslam, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Krishan Lal, Satpaul MC, S. Gurdeep Singn, S. Surjeet Singh and Block Presidents of Rajpura, R.S Pura, Suchetgarh, different party wings and other functionaries of Districts, Zone and Blocks.
