Film singer Richa Sharma, Rajan Gill enthrall audience at devotional song competition

KATRA, Oct 1: All India Devotional Song Competition as part of Navratra Festival began today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening by lighting of the traditional lamp by Chief Engineer Jammu Power Distribution Corporation ltd.Sandeep Seth who was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Celebrity film singer Richa Sharma who has long track of singing songs in films and former winner of the All India Devotional Song Competition and renowned singer Rajan Gill were special guests were special guests on the occassion.
Whereas in today's competition lalit Bhardwaj from Jammu took Ist Position and got its entry into Semi Final to be held on 3rd Oct. whereas Sunil Atwal from Jammu stood 2nd and 3rd position was shared by Narinder from Punjab & Simran Sharma from Jammu jointly and got their entry into quarter final to be held on 2nd Oct. and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/-, 5,000/-and 3,000/- respectively by Richa Shama & Rajan Gill special invitees of the event.
Celebrity singer Richa Sharma who is known Indian playback singer as well as a devotional singer who sang Bollywood's longest track,the badaai song, in film Baabul and got Zee Cine Award for best play back singer-Female for song Sajdaa for film "My name is Khan" and is known for songs Maahi Ve film Kaante, Baghon ke har phool ko apna samjhe baghban film Baghban, Ni main Samaj Gayi film Taal, Biba Sada dil Morr de etc. and has a long list of film songs which she are sung by her,mesmerised the audience with her presence and her presentation.
Former winner of the AIDSC Rajan Gill too gave his performace during the event and people were seen dancing on his songs.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including, Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr. C L Verma Ex. Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh and famous singer Johny Sofi.
The proceeding of Competition was conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition who while speaking on the occasion said that preliminary rounds will end on 1st Oct. and quarter final, Semi Final and Final of the competition would be there on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Oct. respectively.
It is worthwhile to mention here that All India Devotional Song Competition is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt. of J&K Tourism, PTC Punjabi Gold in association with Patanjali Dantkanti and co sponsored by Monalisa Fashion and Wedding Stores, Lia Agarbatti ,J&K Bank, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Nideesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu, Yog Ashram Trust with active support of District Administration and the local host Community whereas 92.7 Big FM is Radio Partner.
