Sadhotra inaugurates Ramleela celebrations, prays for peace

JAMMU, Oct 2: Observing that celebrating Ramleela is not just to recreate different facets of the life of Lord Rama, an epitome of truth, virtue and righteousness, former minister and senior National Conference leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that such events actually give an insight to the people about the message of Maryada Purshotam for entire humanity.
"Bhagwan Shri Ram's life on the earth and His actions reflect the path of righteousness by setting high standards of duties and conduct", Sadhotra said after inaugurating Ram Leela on 6th Navratra at Ramleela Ground Janipur, in the Jammu North
Assembly Constituency. Mr Sadhotra, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, said Lord Rama's life was a life of compliance, matchless simplicity, high degree of contentment, embodiment of sacrifice and remarkable renunciation. These made the Lord Maryada Purshotam which has been a guiding force for humanity and generations to come, he added. Extending his greetings, Mr Sadhotra wished the people peace, happiness and prosperity, saying that the upcoming festival of Dussehra reinforces the eternal message that truth and goodness will always prevail. He said this is the essence of all religions which stand for truth, love and compassion. Sadhotra complimented the people for celebrating religious festivals in true spirit of the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir and hoped that such occasions will help further strengthen bonds of unity and amity among different segments of the society. He prayed for peace, tranquility and wellbeing of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and hoped the traditions of brotherhood and amity demonstrated through centuries, even during most turbulent times, will continue to inspire the generations and help in building a harmonious society.
"Like other auspicious occasions, the ongoing Navratras inspire the people to pursue the path of ultimate truth", he added.
Sadhotra thanked Dharmik Natak Club Janipur for inviting to inaugurate Ram Leela and welcoming him in the Ram Leela maidan Janipur.
