Female doctors write against boss in Sheep Husbandry Ganderbal
10/2/2022 11:32:18 PM

Early Times Report

Ganderbal, Oct 2: While the Union government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi continues to empower woman or naari shakti across the country, two female doctors have shot a letter to the government against their “boss” in the Sheep Husbandary Department in Ganderbal district for his allegedly improper behavior and “ill intentions” towards them here.
The letter accessed by the Early Times is addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary, Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The letter “Ill-intentioned, prejudicial and biased approach” of the official(name and designation withheld) posted in Ganderbal district against two female Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (names withheld).”
“There is an ill-intentioned, prejudicial and biased approach shown by the ***(name and designation withheld) towards the undersigned two Veterinary Assistant Surgeons in terms of harassment through undue assignments and treatment,” the letter reads.
“The Officer concerned derives sadistic pleasure by deputing us to such places which are either far-flung areas or inapproachable which subjects us to physical exhaustion and mental torture. Though the u/s are performing our legitimate duties with full zeal and zest the officer has made it routine to seek regular explanations on flimsy basis making us realize to feel for ill treatment. The Officer has sometimes also subjected us to torture by withholding our salary to make our families to suffer,” the letter reads. The letter makes some shocking revelations. “The concerned officer has created uncongenial environment for discharging duty by directing our subordinate staff to have direct liaison with him and bypassing the official hierarchy which has greatly affected our official routines. Further, the officer uses the subordinate staff as spying agents rather than for professional job which adversely affected our work,” the letter reads.
When contacted a senior official said the matter has come to the notice of the concerned and that an explanation was being sought from the “accused.” “Yes a letter in this regard has been received. The matter is being seriously looked into,” the official told the Early Times on the condition of anonymity.
The “accused” official, on the other hand, has been telling media persons that the complainant duo was doing it to unduly tarnish his image and integrity as he wants them to be punctual to the duties “but that they are irregular in towards their duties.”
