Johny Sufiana enthralls audience at devotional song competition

KATRA, Oct 2: All India Devotional Song Competition entered in Sixth day late evening as a part of Navratra Festival 2022 with the litting of a traditional lamp by Bhawani Rakwal Regional Director Land Survey of Jammu,who was Chief Guest on the occasion,in presence of Babila Rakwal DC Reasi, Angrez Singh Sub Divisional Magistrate, Katra, Special Invitee and renowned singer Johny Sufi, Rakesh Wazir Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association, Katra, Former winner of All India Devotional Song Competition Ananya Sharma, Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj etc.
In this last preliminary round of competition Narinder Singh Jammu was adjudged as 1st Position holder, Ritika Kakkar from Jammu stood 2nd and 3rd position was shared jointly by Sunny Salim from Kathua & Nitin Mahi from Jammu among the 11 auditioned participants and were provided with the cash prizes of 10,000/-, 5,000/-and 3,000/- respectively.
Johny Sufi who has got many film songs and albums to his credit enthralled the audience with his melodious voice and people were seen dancing and singing on his songs and likewise the sweet & melidious guest items of former winner of the Competition Ananya Sharma too mesmerized the audience.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Singer Johny Sufi, Dr.Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr. CL Verma Ex. Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh.
The proceedings of Competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition who while speaking on the occasion said that film personalities who will act as Judges of Final of the competition will reach Katra tomorrow and would address media at 3 PM at The Vaishnodevi Sarovar Portico,Katra.
He further said that quarter final, Semi Final & Mega Final of the of the competition would be held on 2nd Oct, 3rd Oct. and 4th Oct. respectively.
It is worth while to mention here that All India Devotional Song Competition is being organized by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt. of J&K Tourism,PTC Punjabi Gold in association with Patanjali Dantkanti and co sponsored by Monalisa Fashion and Wedding Stores, Lia Agarbatti, J&K Bank, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Nideesh Builders Pvt. Ltd. Jammu,Yog Ashram Trust with active support of District Administration and the local host Community whereas 92.7 Big FM is Radio Partner.
