Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 2: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) in a meeting held at village Kotrana Kalan, R.S.Pura appealed to Ravinder Raina, President Pradesh BJP, son of displaced person community and to Yugal Kishore Sharma, MP beside other high profile leaders to take POK DPs settlement issues as per the recommendations of JPC report no 183 with Amit Shah, Home Minister of India on his three days visit to UT of J&K, as it is most appropriate occasion.
While interacting with the participants, Gurdev Singh President along with Bhagwan Singh, Capt. Puran Singh Chib, Joginder Lal and Chanan Singh expressed their serious concern over the stoic silence of both the state and central govt. regarding the implementation of recommendation of JPC report tabled in both the houses of parliament in December 2014. He said that attention of both the govts. were drawn on many occasions towards the JPC report which is the only viable and adequate road-map for the resolution of long awaited DPs issues but unfortunately the govt. paid no heed towards this report and issues are still hanging.
He said that it is appropriate time if the matter is taken up with Amit Shah, Home Minister and Mofi Ji PM, I have no doubt in my mind that issue would not be resolved. He further appealed to Ravinder Raina and Jugal Kishore Sharma to apprise the Home Minister Amit Shah, that DPs of 1947 from POK are the worst victims of Pakistani tribal raids and have been discriminated deliberately by the previous govts. He should be also apprised that DPs are demanding their legitimate constitutional right of representation, compensation for their left-out properties and reservation for their wards, which they have been denied all along these years which resulted in their economical, educational and social backwardness. He asserted that since Pakistan is globally exposed over the Kashmir issue and has lost its all claims in the International forum, the GOI can resolve the issue finally as there is no legal implications are left now. He reiterated that DPs are thankful to Hon’ble Modi ji for providing a relief package to each DP family which gave them some financial respite but it cannot be considered as full and final settlement as being asserted by some govt. bureaucrats. The participants appealed in full voice to Sh. Ravinder Raina and Jugal Kishore to reciprocate the DPs faith by projecting their issues before the Hon’ble Amit Shah for an adequate resolution.
