APS Kaluchak honoured with Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2022

Jammu, Oct 2: Under the aegis of Ministry of Education, Government of India, the School Education Department of J&K proudly presented the ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar’ to the Army Public School Kaluchak at SKICC, Srinagar for the session 2021-22.
The award has been instituted by the Ministry of Education, to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practices in schools.
The purpose of the award is to honour schools that have undertaken significant steps towards contributing and fulfilling the mandate of the Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign.
The performance of the schools is evaluated under the sub-categories of: drinking water, toilets, handwashing, operation and maintenance, capacity building and requisite preparedness and response to COVID-19. This year, under the sub-category of ‘Water’, APS Kaluchak was honoured with this prestigious award with a score of 100% and a five-star rating.
Hem Lata Vishen, revered Principal of APS Kaluchak was felicitated with this UT Level Award by the Honourable, His Excellency Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of J&K at a prestigious ceremony held at Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre, Srinagar on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The exemplary efforts and holistic contribution of the school in setting a new benchmark towards rendering hygiene and sanitation amenities were lauded by the esteemed dignitaries and proud custodians from diverse institutions. It indeed was a proud moment for the school management.
