Centre determined to transform Jammu into model city: Kavinder
Starts development work worth Rs 7 cr at Ward 23

JAMMU, Oct 9: Jammu City is moving fast on the path of development which is evident from the developmental works going on across the City of Temples at an unprecedented scale and pace. The J&K Administration led by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in consonance with the Government at the Centre is fully determined to transform Jammu into a model city so that others emulate this model.
This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister while starting development work of a Nallah in Rampura area of Nai Basti Ward No 23 at Gandhi Nagar Constituency with an estimated cost of Rs 7 crore.
Kavinder said that there is no dearth of funds for accomplishment of this project at the earliest. He said that the Government is working relentlessly to create state of art modern facilities infrastructure for the people in every nook and corner across Jammu City. He asserted that while the government is making every endeavour in transformation of Jammu City, it cannot be accomplished successfully without the proactive participation of the people.
The senior BJP leader asked the people of the Nai Basti area to come forward to play a vital role in making Jammu a model city through their effective and result oriented participation and set an example for the people living in other Wards of the City of Temples.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta visited Ward No 55 and interacted with people of the area.
He said that people are themselves witness to the way the development process has been taken up by the BJP leadership in the constituency. He said that the BJP Government is committed to fulfill its promises made during the campaign trail of the Lok Sabha elections and there is no promise with regard to J&K, which shall not be fulfilled as party leadership is on toes to dedicate everything promised to people in stipulated time. He said that more than development works of Rs 50 lakhs has been carried out in the past and development works worth lakhs of rupees are in offing.
The former deputy Chief Minister asserted that “real development has been witnessed during last four years in the State and Gandhi Nagar constituency in particular”. “Sabka Saath -Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas” is the slogan of BJP, and it is extending every possible help to make it a success.
