Food Safety DFCO jammu set in motion to unearth Suspicious Sweets under FSSA

Jammu, Oct 11: For taking instant reaction of specific input the team of Food Safety DFCO jammu led Deputy Commissioner Food Safety DFCO Division, Jammu and accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, DFCO jammu District along with the sh.Charan jeev Enforcement Officer(Food Safety Officer)concerned ,the team jointly rolled up their sleeves and raided at Seema Sweet shop main road Bantlab located opposite CRPF Gate jammu block Kotbalwal .The team candidly enquired about the location of the workshop and acted upon accordingly.
To earmark the specific purpose of the raid ,the team traced the hidden location of the workshop and found the prepared sweets in bulk which was outlined and captured in camera, in the due course of action , the team lifted two samples -one of Rasgulla another of Gullab jamun for analysis under FSSA. And taking the lead of inputs ahead the team found huge quantity of prepared sweets in highly Unhygienic ,dirty and untidy conditions, hence,130 tins of prepared Rasgullas & 82 tins of Gullab jamun were seized on the spot by the team and kept in the safe Custody of the owner of the Sweet Shop till the outcome of the result reports for which Food Analyst jammu has been advised to make testifications at the top priority at an earliest. And if the Samples found adulterated the Sweet Shop operator will be called into account for such reckless violation of the FSSA and negligence thereunder.
Essentially, it is worthwhile to mention that to control & curb the Food Adultertion and malpractices, there is a clear cut direction from the Office of the Commissinerate, FDA J&k to refrain from the malpractices and ensure safe, qaulity, pure and Wholesome food to the Consumers and public in General.
Emphasizing over the same directions through this medium of press release all the Food Bussiness Operators are advised to make adherence to the provisions ,rules and regulations of the Act.
