Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 11: A few days after the Early Times reported that two female subordinates have filed a complaint against their boss in Sheep Husbandry department in Kashmir, the “accused” has been “attached with immediate effect”.
“Government Order No: EV1 JK (APD) of 2022 dated 10-10-2022 Dr (Name withheld) I/C DSHO, Ganderbal, is hereby attached with the Directorate of Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir with immediate effect till further orders,” reads the order, a copy of which lies with the Early Times.
“Dr Showkat Ahmad Ahanger I/C District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Bandipora shall look after the work of the post of District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Ganderbal in addition to his own duties. By Order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads the order issued by Atal Dulloo, IAS Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) vide number : ASHF-SHOGAZ/13/2022 Dated: 10-10-2022.
The two female doctors had shot a letter to the government against their “boss” for his allegedly improper behavior and “ill intentions” towards them here.
The letter was addressed to Atal Duloo, the Additional Chief Secretary, Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The letter “Ill-intentioned, prejudicial and biased approach” of the official (name and designation withheld) posted in Ganderbal district against two female Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (names withheld).”
“There is an ill-intentioned, prejudicial and biased approach shown by the ***(name and designation withheld) towards the undersigned two Veterinary Assistant Surgeons in terms of harassment through undue assignments and treatment,” the female officers had complained.
“The Officer concerned derives sadistic pleasure by deputing us to such places which are either far-flung areas or inapproachable which subjects us to physical exhaustion and mental torture. Though the u/s are performing our legitimate duties with full zeal and zest the officer has made it routine to seek regular explanations on flimsy basis making us realize to feel for ill treatment. The Officer has sometimes also subjected us to torture by withholding our salary to make our families to suffer,” the letter had further read.
The Early Times has been tracking the case.
