| IDS Sehora Organises Awareness Programme | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: As a mark of observing World Students Day and to spread oral health care awareness in the society in general and youth in particular,a free dental camp cum awareness programme was organized at Govt. Middle School Karyani Talab Jammu by Department of Public Health Dentistry under the aegis of Institute of Dental Sciences,Sehora Jammu.
It was attended by the students of middle school in the presence of Naresh Langer, Head Master, Govt Middle School accompanied by the staff members where in a team of various doctors from the Institute held a series of events emphasising mainly on ill effects of tobacoo and related products being used by delivering valuable information.Team also conducted free dental check up for the students.
At the end, Free medicines and dental kits were distributed amongst all the students.
Dr. Esha Bali,HOD,Department of Public Health Dentistry said that the basic aim of this awareness programme cum free dental camp was to give oral hygiene instructions and the use of tobacco and related products as it has very serious implications on our oral health leading to numerous life threatening diseases and also affects our economic and social lives indirectly.
It was attended by a team of doctors headed by Dr.Esha Bali,HOD,Public Health Dentistry accompanied by Dr.Kamaljit Singh interns and students of Institute. |
