ADGP reviews arrangements for Police Commemoration Day Parade

SRINAGAR, Oct 17: SJM Gillani-IPS Additional Director General of Police Armed J&K reviewed the preparations/ arrangements in connection with Police Commemoration Day Parade-2022 scheduled to be organized by J&K Police on October 21, 2022 at J&K Police Martyrs' Memorial Zewan Srinagar.
Accompanied by senior Police officers including DIG Armed Kashmir Shahid Mehraj-IPS, the ADGP conducted the inspection of Police Martyrs' Memorial and Parade Ground Zewan today. He also conducted the inspection of Police and CAPF contingents participating in the Police Commemoration Day Parade on October 21, 2022.
While inspecting the Police Martyrs' Memorial Zewan, the ADGP issued suitable instructions to the engineers of PCD PHQ J&K for proper upkeep and facelifting of the Martyrs' Memorial besides improvement in the maintenance of roll of honours on Brass plates. The ADGP also issued instructions to the Commandants responsible for upkeep and maintenance of Parade Ground and its surroundings. A rehearsal Parade was also demonstrated by the participating contingents on the occasion in which various instructions were given by the ADGP for improvement in the drill of the Parade Contingents.
The ADGP also chaired a meeting of the officers in the G.Os Mess Zewan to review the other arrangements including Security bandobast in and around the venue, Security and Traffic management on the routes involved for the movement of VIP/VVIPs etc. were also discussed and deliberated on the occasion. The officers responsible for various assignments connected with the smooth conduct of the event were appropriately briefed on the occasion.
Among others, Suhail Munawar Mir CO JKAP-5th Bn, Mahmood Ahmad Staff Officer to ADGP Armed, Shamsheer Hussain CO JKAP-13th Bn, Sukhdev Raj CO JKAP-3rd Security Bn, S.S.Rana CO JKAP 12th Security Bn, Manoj Pandit-SSP AIG Communication PHQ, Liaqat Ali-SSP APCR Kashmir, Safdar Hamid Samoon-SP Incharge CO IRP-6th Bn and PCD Engineers were also present on the occasion.
