Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: To commemorate the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru, Children's Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal at Govt Middle School Channi Himmat. To mark the occasion, BJP Mahila Morcha J&K Spokesperson Ritika Trehan distributed eatables like chocolates, toffees, biscuits among students of school. To show their love for the students, the teachers presented a colourful bonanza of songs, dances and words of wisdom. The venue came alive with some spell bound performances. It was a welcome break for the students to watch the new 'Avataar' of their teachers, who danced to a popular Bollywood number. The teachers mimicked the popular yesteryears super-stars. A hilarious interpretation of an everyday classroom scenario was beautifully presented by the junior wing teachers.
Addressing teachers and students, Ritika said that Children are the heritage of the lord. Let's work together to make their dreams fulfilled. Get up and become the best version of yourself. On this very special day, let us all celebrate the innocence and purity of our kids. Let them feel precious in every way that we can because they are our future. To all my students, may your future be filled with happiness and opportunities, said Ritika.
Ritika observed that the day stands for children's rights and raises awareness of the need to educate them, as they form the country's future. Every child is a miracle with each having their own ways that make this world a beautiful place for us. It's the day we celebrate the innocence of children and all the joys they bring into our lives. If we want our children to be happy, intelligent and successful people, then it's important that they learn the value of respect at an early age. Children are the future of the country and the people of tomorrow, so they should be nurtured with care and love. Today's children will create tomorrow's India, said Ritika.
We must find ways to give children a sense of security and well-being so that they may be able to grow into responsible, contributing members of society. He who knows how to respect children, knows how to rule the world. We are grateful for the children in our lives, the ones who make us laugh, the ones who remind us what is really important, and the ones who will one day carry on our legacy. We love you all so much and hope that you have a day full of love, laughter, and happiness. On this Children's day, let us take a pledge and promise ourselves that we will ensure the safety of every child in the world and also work towards providing each and every child with their right to education, remarked Ritika.
