Jammu, Nov 14: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to file two chargesheets in cases related to fraud in the recruitment of Finance Accounts Assistants (FAA) and Junior Engineers (JE).
Notably, most of the accused who were involved in selling question papers of the exams for Police Sub-Inspector were also indulged in committing fraud in the recruitment of FAA and JE (Civil).
Highly placed sources said that some of the accused arrested by the CBI in the Police Sub-Inspector recruitment fraud have admitted their involvement in FAA and JE exams also.
Important to mention here that on August 29, the government has cancelled the recruitment of Finance Accounts Assistants (FAA) and Junior Engineers (JE) over alleged discrepancies. The government also recommended a CBI probe into the selection process.
According to the report, the government assured all aspirants that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the irregularities and there won't be any compromise on merit. “JKSSB FAAs & JE Civil recruitment has been cancelled and a CBI probe recommended into the selection process,” the Directorate of Information and Public Relations has tweeted. “Fresh recruitment process for FAAs and JE Civil will start soon,” it added.
Reports of out of the total 20 accused arrested by the CBI in Sub-Inspector recruitment fraud, some of them were also involved in FAA and JE (Civil) exams.
After registration of the case in Sub-Inspector recruitment fraud, searches were conducted around 77 places including in J&K, Haryana, Delhi, and Bengaluru at the premises of the accused and others including certain officials of JKSSB. 20 persons were arrested and cash of Rs. 61.79 lakh was recovered. Four persons against whom chargesheet was filed are still at large.
