AJBRCEAK, others stage protest at Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 18: All Jammu Based Reserve Category Employees Association Kashmir along with various socio-religious organizations held a Mega Protest at press club Jammu for Suitable Comprehensive Transfer Policy. The employees are on continuous protest for last 171 days.
While speaking during the protest many of the Presidents of different Socio-Religious Organization like Sham Lal Basan President Dalit Chetna Manch J&K, Narinder Bhagat President All J&K Megh Sabha, Prithivi Singh President J&K Batwal Sabha, Kali Dass President Mahasha Biradri, Capt. Biru Ram Radha President Barwala Biradri, F.C Satia President (A.I.B.C.F), Raj Kumar Chalotra Vice President (A.I.B.C.F) and many others reiterated that the spree of target killing has not stopped in Kashmir and these employees were serving in Kashmir for last 15 years and now they are not in such a condition to perform their duties anymore in Kashmir. They do not feel safe to stay in Kashmir for a long time even their landlords are also in trouble and are afraid that militants may also kill them so many of the landlords have called the employees to vacate their rooms. The employees are in the delima what should they do. On the one hand they don't have safe and secure accommodation and on the other hand, the DDO'S are threatening the employees to resume their duties. Many of the DDO'S have stopped their salaries.
Now, these employees are demanding the immediate relief, release of their withheld salaries and exemption from biometric attendance system (BAS). They further added that government should frame a suitable comprehensive transfer policy at an earliest so that their services can be utilized in their home district/ division.
