JAMMU, Nov 27: We all learn more outside the class through the medium of sports which is like a rejuvenating therapy for all of us.
Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet Lakshya 6 for classes 3rd to 5th on 26th November 2022 in the lavish school ground with much zeal, enthusiasm, and magnanimity. The Management, Principal, Vibrant Sanskritians, dedicated staff members, and the motivating audiences warmly welcomed the honorable chief guest Benam Tosh (KPS, SSP, Commandant, IRP, 19th Batalian), Guest Of Honour Dr. Seema Malpotra (H.O.D English, Vice- Principal Kathua) and our Special Guests Sukhdev Singh (DYSP, DAR, Kathua) and Chandeep Singh Sudan (Para Athlete).
The event started with the release of balloons paying a tribute to the honest spirit of each sportsperson and further lighting the ceremonial torch heralding a propitious start to the day. The event was followed by the spectacular, impressive, and well-synchronized march past of all four houses namely Passion, Harmony, Optimism, and Wisdom led by the Head Boy Chirag Vasisth, Head Girl Anmolpreet Kour, Sports captain Nitin Sharma and Vice-sports captain Triambika followed by the colossal oath-taking ceremony. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the event. Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. A mesmerizing yoga performance was showcased by our budding sanskritians which enthralled the audience.
The highlights of the sports day were the splendid field drills involving mass student participation in events such as Aerobics, Hula-Hoop and Lesium, along with the magic stick drill dance by the tiny tots which sprayed on the field the right amount of hues, vibrance, and radiance. Karate demonstration displaying aggression and discipline was a feast for the eyes. The relay race, 50-meter race, sack race, hurdle race, pick and drop race and Santa race added the athletic spark to the event.
Also, a Parents' Special was organized by the school wherein one separate event was conducted for the parents of the young sanskritians. The event was the Lemon and Spoon Race for Parents. This was done in adhering to the school's credence to partake parents in the growth of the child as well as to the growth of the institution. Growth is dependent on this companionship between the school and the parents.
Benam Tosh (KPS, SSP, Commandant Officer, IRP, 19th Batalian) congratulated and appreciated the students and staff of the Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua family to have made sports an integral part of the curriculum.
