IIA organizes seminar on energy conversation

Jammu, Nov 27: The Indian Institute of Architects,J& K chapter organized a seminar on "Energy conversation and Green Buildings"on 27th of November, at JDA ground, 4th Bridge,Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
This seminar was organised in association with Minds Media Management group from Ludhiana.
The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is the national body of Architects having more than 25,000 members,involved in promotion of architecture by organising seminars, events, debates and exhibitions.
The main purpose of organising this seminar was to aware the professionals about the importance of sustainable building materials and their effects on construction and also to make the building clean and green which ultimately lead to an eco-friendly environment.
In today's time, to maintain an eco-friendly environment is the biggest challenge, as the architects and other professionals involved in construction purposes need to have good knowledge and awareness related to sustainable building materials and their right usage to make our cities free from any kind of pollution.
The Jammu & Kashmir Chapter of India Institution of Architects is engaged in promoting the art and science of architecture and thus plays an importance role in promoting sustainability through the right planning and designing ecofriendly, cost effective and resource efficient building environment that really do not disturb the nature or give any bad or malignant effect to our surroundings and environment.
During this programme, eminent speakers Sh.Jit Kumar Gupta, Architect & Urban Planner from Chandigarh and Mrs. Meenal Anand from Ministry of Power, Govt. Of India shared their views and also updated professionals about the importance of energy conversation in buildings.
The knowledge gained by all spectators during this event will prove to be a boon for all those involved in construction.
Prominent among others present were Ar. Vikas Dubey Chairman IIA-J&K Chapter, Ar. Vishal Abrol. Vice Chairman, Ar.Anil Verma, Hon.Secy. & Ar. Sanjeev Mahajan, Hon.Treasurer and Architects & Professionals from Construction Industry.
