Defeat communal, divisive forces: JKPCC Chief
11/29/2022 10:24:58 PM
Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Nov 29: JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani has said those creating communal devide for vote politics are the biggest enemies of people and the nation besides peace, progress and prosperity and said that such forces must be isolated and defeated by all right thinking people for their better future.
Addressing a large public rally at Kishtwar today, JKPCC Chief alongwith working President Raman Bhalla, Senior Congress leader Sheikh Haider Ex - MLA Ashok Dogra, Adv Asif Naqeeb and others, Shri Wani said that it were the congress governments at the centre which sanctioned several power projects and other road connectivity projects in erstwhile Doda district comprising Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban, to create lot of jobs and business opportunities besides bringing overall development in the mountainous region .
However communal and divisive forces are the biggest enemies of peace and harmony and overall development of the backward region and people must unitedly defeat such forces for their better future.
He said UPA government headed by by Dr Manmohan Singh had sanctioned a big package of Rs 24000 crores in 2004 which swelled to around 36000 cr and a major component was for power infrastructure. It was the biggest ever package measured in terms of valuation and inflations today, he added.
He said massive road and other developmental projects were sanctioned under UPA which brought about lot of improvement in the basic facilities and quality of life although lot more needs to be done in various fields in view of vast area and hilly terrain. He also said that it was Congress led government which divided vast Doda district for better administrative and development and to fulfill aspirations of people of Kishtwar and, Ramban. District s.
He appealed to the people to support Congress party and its secular, unifying and progressive policies to carry forward the developmental activities and creation of job opportunities for youth. He said Congress stands guarrantee to peace, harmony, dignity, restoration of statehood and rights to land and jobs.
Addressing the gathering, working President Raman Bhalla hit at BJP for downgrading the historical state and snatching rights to land and jobs besides trade and business opportunities at the cost of locals and said that BJP government has failed to achieve any of the claimed benefits of Aug, 2019 decision.
He said Jammu and Kashmir is deprived of democracy for more than 3 and half years and there is total uncertainty about assembly elections and restoration of state hood despite commitment on the floor of the house. He also expressed great concern over selective killings in Kashmir in recent months.
Bhalla said the excercise of delimitation has not followed the settled norms and ground realities and was one-sided affair ignoring the aspirations of people, the voter lists has been revised, why there is hesitation in the announcement of assembly polls.
He said BJP exploited the emotions of people in elections but shared power with ideological opponents which shows its lust for power, it is still running after other parties with whom BJP has nothing common but it will not succeed in its mission to grab power, as people have seen the real face of BJP and its sister organizations and parties who have no base but seek votes on different agenda with a view to divide opposition votes to help BJP. People understand it nicely and will defeat the deceptive politics and shall vote for congress which is secular, progressive and unifying force in the country.
