JAMMU, Nov 29: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today asserted that the Jammu City is moving fast on the path of development which is evident from the developmental works going on across the City of Temples at an unprecedented scale and pace. The J&K Administration led by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in consonance with the Government at the Centre is fully determined to transform Jammu into a model city so that others emulate this model.
He was speaking after starting blacktopping of road work at New Shiv Nagar in Bahu Fort area of Jammu city. The development was started in presence of local Corporator Sharda Kumar, Vinay Gupta District President, Narinder Koki, Govind Sareen, Dalbir Singh, Dr Davinder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Suraj Rana and Maan Singh.
Kavinder said that the J&K Government is working relentlessly to create state of art modern facilities infrastructure for the people in every nook and corner across Jammu City. He asserted that while the government is making every endeavour in transformation of Jammu City, it cannot be accomplished successfully without the proactive participation of the people.
The senior BJP leader said that earlier the sewage work was carried out in the same Ward, following which the blacktopping work is initiated to construct the damaged lanes of the area. He asked the people of the Bahu Fort area to come forward to play a vital role in making Jammu a model city through their effective and result oriented participation and set an example for the people living in other Wards of the City of Temples.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also interacted with people of the area. He said that people are themselves witness to the way the development process has been taken up by the BJP leadership in the constituency. He said that the BJP Government is committed to fulfill its promises made with the people and there is no promise with regard to J&K, which shall not be fulfilled as party leadership is on toes to dedicate everything promised to people in stipulated time.
Sharda Kumar, local Corporator, in her address, said that real development has been witnessed during last eight years in the State. She said 'Sabka Saath -Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas' is the slogan of BJP, and it is extending every possible help to make it a success.
