Govt SRML School organises Alumni meet

Jammu, Dec 10: Govt SRML Model Hr. Sec. School, Parade Jammu organised the Alumni meet cum Annual Day on 10th December 2022 in the school premises. About 100 Alumni members attended the function. The school took the opportunity to felicitate the eminent personalities spanning across India and abroad who remained the product of this prestigious institute.
The event was started traditionally with the lighting of lamp by Chief Guest Jenab Naseer Ahmad Wani (JKAS) Special Secretary School Education Department, Guest of Honour Sh. H. R. Pakhroo Joint Director DSE Jammu, Chief Education Officer Jammu Sh. S.S. Rathore, Smt. Anjali Gupta, Principal of the school, Mr. Naresh Ghulati from Alumni Members followed by National Anthem, Ranbir Anthem sung by the students of the school.
Principal Anjali Gupta welcomed the alumni and appreciated their zeal to assemble for the Alumni meet despite their busy schedule. She also highlighted the achievements and excellence of the school in academics, sports and extra co-curricular activities during her welcome address. Alumni members such as Sh. Naresh Gulati President of the Alumni association of the school, Sh.Sudesh Bhakhri, Sh. Shamsher Singh Manhas and others spoke on the occasion and shared their valuable views to the Teachers and Students of the school. A cheque of Rs. 31000/- was presented to the school by the Alumni members for the welfare of the school.
The students of the school presented colourful cultural items before the audience. The children of the Kindergarten of the school also presented a beautiful dance performance.
The event also witnessed the felicitation of the meritorious students of the school who brought laurels to the school in different fields i.e. academics, sports and cultural events by the Chief Guests. All the alumni who attended the program were honoured by presenting momentos to them.
At the end, the event was concluded by vote of thanks presented by Vice Principal of the school Dr. Satya Bhushan Raina.
