CBC organises 3- day multi media exhibition

RAJOURI, Dec 19: As a part of Nationwide celebrations of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence, Central Bureau of Communication, Rajouri, in coordination with District Administration, is organizing an Integrated Communication Outreach program on Amrit Mahotsav under the aegis of Central Bureau of Communication, (J&K), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India here in the Government PG Degree College from Dec 20 to Dec 22nd .
The Exhibition showcases India's struggle for freedom through display panels. Major events of freedom struggle include, Revolt of 1857, Non- the Cooperation Movement, the Establishment of Home rule, Champaran Satyagraha, Kheda Satyagraha, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Khilafat Movement, the Chauri-Chaura Incident, Dandi March or Namak Satyagraha, Azad Hind fauj, Quit India Movement, partition of India. A special facet was also put up to highlight the contribution of freedom fighters belonging to J&K and Ladakh.
Selfie corner, Seminars (Expert Lectures on Centrally Sponsored Schemes), open quiz, film shows, cultural programs, and 'New India Samachar' magazine of Govt of India will be the main attraction for the youth. People are requested to visit the exhibition (free entry) which helps them in inculcating the passion of nationalism among them and makes them understand the hardships faced by freedom fighters and their sacrifices to achieve the goal of freedom.
In order to mobilize masses to visit Multimedia Exhibition a pre-publicity event was organized at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School under the Chairmanship of Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Principal GBHSS, Rajouri, Faculty, and Staff of CBC, Jammu and CBC, Rajouri.
Rakesh Sharma, Principal, in his address, urged the gathering to pay homage and be grateful to all the freedom fighters and the security forces who secure the hard-earned freedom. At present country is witnessing unprecedented deliverance in the case of public services at their doorsteps through Back to Village, My town My Pride, Digital services, etc.
Attia Shaheen, Lect. History and Fazal Hussain Lect. Commerce also spoke on the topic. They reminded the students about their duty towards the nation and fellow beings for the upliftment of the country and building the nation into a self-reliant (Atmanirbhar) country.
Sunil Kumar, I/c Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Rajouri, in his welcome address said that the Central Bureau of Communication, through its Field Offices reaches out to the far-flung, isolated, and media-shadowed areas to spread awareness regarding various Centrally Sponsored Schemes of Government of India through Exhibitions, Songs, Skits, ICOPs, Interactive programs, competitions, etc. in coordination with district Administration.
Vijay Mattoo, FPO, CBC, Poonch, said Azadi Ka Amit Mahotsav was launched by the Prime Minister of India on 12th March 2021 from Sabarmati Ashram in Gujrat by flagging off a March of about eighty members to commemorate the Dandi March organized by Mahatma Gandhi to break the Salt Law of British Government in 1930. The Amrit Mahotsav will continue till 15th August 2023. He also urges the students to spread the message of the Multi-Media Exhibition being organized at Gov. PG Degree College, Rajouri from 20th to 22nd December 2022 among families, neighbors, friends, and relatives in order to make the event a success.
Earlier a drawing competition was organized by CBC, Rajouri at GBHSS, Rajouri in which about 25 students of the schools participated. Saquib Mehmood (11th) GBHSS, Rajouri, stood first, Aaqib Ashraf (10th) stood second, whereas Intihab Ahmad (11th) bagged the third position. All the participants, winners & guests were honored by CBC, Rajouri.
