Absconder evading arrest for last 22 years arrested: Reasi Police

REASI, Dec 23: District Police Reasi under the supervision of Sr. Superintendent of Police Reasi, Amit Gupta-JKPS apprehended one Absconder namely Bopinder Singh S/O Thakar Singh R/O 33/304 Talab Khatikaan, Jammu who was evading arrest for the last 22 years. Wanted in case FIR No. 136/2000 U/S 279/304-A RPC of Police Station Reasi, Bopinder concealed himself and could not be apprehended since commission of crime in 2000.
Accused evaded investigations by going underground and was continuously changing his hideouts. A warrant of arrests Under section 512 Crpc was issued against him by Hon'ble court of JMIC Reasi.
Today on a specific information team of Police station Reasi led by Insp Vijay Sharma under the supervision of Iftkhar Ahmed Dysp Headquarters Reasi and Sh Surjeet Bhagat ASP Reasi by meticulously planning and coordinated efforts in repeated raids, chased and arrested the accused from jammu.
Sharing the details SSP Reasi Amit conveyed that acting tough against the absconding criminals Reasi Police initiated action under Section 82 & 83 Crpc through courts against the absconders evading arrests since years and their properties shall be seized in near future.
