Cluster University of Jammu organises one day seminar

JAMMU, Dec 27: The Directorate of Placement Cluster University of Jammu organized a one day Seminar on Career Counselling and Placement in Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu. The programme was organised in collaboration with Karatvya - Choudhary Education Trust Institute.
Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor CLUJ was a Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Dr. Jatinder Khajuria worthy Registrar was the Guest of Honor. The main focus of the seminar was to aware the students on the available career opportunity in both Government as well as Private sector. Speaking on the occasion, The Vice Chancellor emphasised on improving employment marketability and opportunity for students in Multi-Disciplinary aspects by following the pattern of New Education Policy.
The programme was organised by Director Placement Cell Cluster University of Jammu Prof. D S Manhas. He mentioned that the main focus of placement cell is to provide personal and career related support to the students with special emphasis on training the students on employability skills and to provide placement in various industries/ organisations by arranging Campus, Placements and Drives. Dr. Shubhra Jamwal hosted the programme and Dr. Pooja accorded vote of thanks to all the distinguish guests.
The resource person on the occasion was Dinesh Kumar from Karatvya - Choudhary Education Trust Institute. He gave a detailed presentation and motivated students explore and exploit subject based opportunities in the field of their interest.
Other guests and faculty members present on the occasion were Dean Academic Affair, Dr. Naveen Anand, Dean Faculty of Arts, Dr. Geetanjali Rana, Dean Engeering and Technology, Dr. Chander Shekhar, Controller Dr. Rajinder Sharma, Principal Govt. SPMR College of Commerce Dr, Surinder Kumar, Principal GCOE Prof. Aekta Gupta, Principal, GGM Science College Prof. Rajesh Gupta, Prof. Devander Sharma, Prof. Renu Rajput, Dr. Sandhya Bharadwaj and Prof. Ashu Manhas.
