BJY likely to enter J&K on Jan 22, Cong seeks cooperation of all, media

JAMMU, Dec 29: As the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Shri Rahul Gandhi is expected to enter Jammu and Kashmir from Lakhanpur on Jan 22, JKPCC has issued an appeal to all especially media fraternity for their cooperation and support for the proper coverage and dissemination of the infomation to the general public of this significanct historical event post independence.
This appeal was issued to the media fraternity by the media committee of the party for the better coordination and media management for the Yatra, which is biggest such event of its kind and nature post independence, having greater significance, în Jammu and Kashmir, said media incharge &Chairman of the committe Ravinder Sharma, while talking to media persons at PCC HQ here today.
He was flanked by senior Leaders of media departament including Dr Rashid Chaudhary, Kapil Singh, Dr Jhangeev Sirwal, Sahil Sharma, Bilal Rasheed, Rajiv Saraf &Adv Bhavishya Sudan.
Sharma said that the detalied schedule of the Yatra for J&K is being worked out în consultation with the concerned agencies especially security agencies but the Yatra is expected to reach Lakhanpur on January 22.
Extending full cooperation to the media for the due discharge of their duties, -JKPCC has assured ?o share all relevent Information from time to time, for their use în the better interests of the public.
Sharma said that large number of senior AICC Leaders and several senior Leaders from different states are likely to join Rahul Gandhi during the bharat Jodo Yatra în J &K,besides thousands of Leaders and workers from all Over country and Jammu and Kashmir. Several other prominent Leaders and personalities from different shades of openion and walks of life have alteady announced or are expected to join here.
Lauding the significant role of media în the most difficult periods în Jammu and Kashmir ,Sharma said the media în Jammu and Kashmir has always tried to maintain a balanced approach and objectivity while discharging its duty towards the public.
